Ladytron – I Believe in You
Ladytron returns with “I Believe in You”, their first new music in three years and a taste of an upcoming eighth album. The Liverpool trio now consists of Helen Marnie, Daniel Hunt, and Mira Aroyo following Reuben Wu’s departure. The track brings what’s been described as “high-priestess disco” with an infectious house groove that’s both new territory and unmistakably Ladytron.
Daniel Hunt directed the accompanying video, which depicts a cult-like group in red robes ascending into ecstatic mania, where dance and possession blur together. It’s classic Ladytron visual territory, with sinister undertones beneath the surface groove.
The timing feels right after recent cultural moments brought them back into focus. Their 2002 single “Seventeen” unexpectedly went viral on TikTok, introducing their sound to a new generation, while “Destroy Everything You Touch” appeared on the Grammy-nominated “Saltburn” soundtrack. The band announces limited UK shows for 2026, returning to their Liverpool roots at Arts Club Theatre before hitting Manchester and Newcastle.
